The summer swim lesson schedule will be released in the middle of May.
General Information
Payment, swimmer information, and parent information will all be collected online.
Small groups - Limited to 4-6 per instructor based on class level.
Instructors - Staff will be coaches from the swim team and our senior team members.

Swimwear Policy Girls - a well fitting one piece or tankini. Boys - jammers, swim trunks.
UV blocking swim shirts are not necessary inside the PAC pool. The ceiling and walls have a filter that lessens the exposure to sunlight.
When choosing modesty swimwear please ensure it is tight enough to allow for proper movement in the pool. Modesty swimwear should not be oversized as this can inhibit the properly learning of swim skills and contribute to in water difficulties.
Floaties, water wings, puddle jumpers, lifejackets or other wearable flotation devices are not permitted to be worn during swim lessons.
Toddler +1 What many refer to as Mommy and Me swim lessons is a group swimming class designed for young toddlers and their parents.
The focus is on getting the child comfortable in the water through playful activities, while the parent actively participates to provide support and security, all while learning basic water safety skills together,
We often incorporating songs and toys to enhance the experience; the primary goal is to foster a positive bond between child and parent within the aquatic environment while working towards float, roll, float to reach the side of the pool.
Thunderous 3’s & Fearless 4’s – Class Skills
No skill prerequisites
Child must be 3-5 years old and not require an adult chaperone in the water.
Familiarize children with the aquatic environment and help them acquire rudimentary basic aquatic skills.
Help participants begin to develop positive attitudes and safe practices in and around water.
Goals & Objectives
Enter & Exit water safely
Blow Bubbles – 3 seconds
Submerge, open eyes, retrieve item under water
Front Glide 6 ft unassisted & recover.
Back glide, back float, recover.
Roll front to back, back to front & recover
Tread action while standing in water
Alternating arm & back motions, separate & combined.
Water safety understanding. How to call for help, identify lifeguards, stay safe in the sun.
Exit Skills
Enter independently, using either the ramp, steps or side, travel at least 5 yards, submerge to mouth and blow bubbles for at least 3 seconds then safely exit the water. (Children can walk, move along the gutter or “swim.”)
While in shallow water, glide on front at least 2 body lengths, then roll to back and float on back for 3 seconds, then recover to a vertical position.
Level 1 – Class Skills
Successful demonstration of the 3’s 4’s Class exit skills assessment.
Minimum of 4 years old.
Goals & Objectives
Goals from 3’s & 4’s class.
Bobbing, retrieve item from chest deep water.
Full submerge for 10 seconds.
Rotary breathing, float on front 10 seconds, float on back 15 seconds, recovery body position.
Change direction of travel while on front & back.
Combine arm & legs (front & back) motions 5 meters.
Elementary Backstroke (CBS)
Exit Skills
Enter independently, using either the ramp, steps or side, travel at least 5 meters, submerge, blow bubbles for at least 3 seconds then safely exit the water.
While in shallow water, glide on front at least 5 body lengths, then roll to back and float on back for 15 seconds, then recover to a vertical position.
Push off and travel a minimum of 5 meters with arm and leg motions on front & back.
Elementary backstroke (CBS) kick 3 meters.
Level 2 Class Skills
Skills required are all of level 1.
Be a minimum of 5 years old.
Goals & Objectives
Enter water by jumping in from the side into deep water,
Retrieve a submerged object 2 times unassisted,
Front & back glide 5 body lengths,
Tread water for 20 seconds,
Front crawl with rotary breathing 8 meters
Back crawl 10 meters.
Elementary backstroke (CBS) kick 15 meters.
Head first entry from the side in a sitting & kneeling position.
